Sage has type, proper temperament and grace. He moves with ease and is a wonderful ambassador for the breed. Sage was returned to us as a young adult from his owners after being shot in the back defending his stock on his property. While defending his goats from the neighbors dogs, which had dug into his field, the neighbor shot Sage. The injury was so close to the spine that Sage's prognosis was undetermined for some time. It was then that his owner's decided to send Sage back to us to ensure his recovery and safety. Sage went on to save many of our goats prior to ever stepping one foot in the show ring. While actively showing, Sage lived in Texas. When not with family, Sage was exclusively handled by Mr. Carl Sanders.

First Sage was a Livestock Guardian.
After rest and recuperation, Sage showed occasionally. During this time he continued his livestock duties with goats.
Sage showed so well, he and Carl teamed up.
